This is Blum's AVENTOS HS top lift system, designed for upper cabinets where the door swings up and over the cabinet opening. The mechanism allows large cabinet fronts to lift completely clear of the cabinet opening, giving you full access to the interior without any door getting in your way.

Where It Fits

The system works in upper cabinets between 350mm and 800mm tall, and up to 1800mm wide. It's particularly useful above kitchen islands, peninsulas, or anywhere you want unobstructed access to storage. If your kitchen design includes cornice or crown moulding details, this mechanism accommodates them without compromise.

How It Works

The door lifts upward in a smooth arc, travelling up and over the cabinet box to rest horizontally above the opening. A lever arm system supports the door weight throughout its travel, while the BLUMOTION mechanism ensures it closes softly without slamming. The lift mechanism calculates the precise power factor needed based on your specific door weight and dimensions.

Why It Matters

When you're reaching into tall upper cabinets, having the door completely out of the way makes an enormous difference. You won't knock your head on an open door, and you can see and access everything inside without obstruction. This is particularly valuable when you're working at height or handling larger items.

Design Consideration

This system works well with both solid timber doors and doors with aluminium frames. However, you need adequate ceiling height above the cabinet for the door to travel. The mechanism also requires a minimum internal cabinet depth of 264mm to accommodate the hardware.

The silk white finish coordinates with modern cabinet interiors, and all components carry a five-year warranty. The system can also be upgraded with SERVO-DRIVE electric assistance for effortless one-touch opening.

You can specify it with standard BLUMOTION soft-close, or upgrade to include SERVO-DRIVE electric assistance, though the transformer for electric operation requires separate specification.
