What It Is

The AVENTOS HF top is a bi-fold lift system from Blum that allows wall cabinet doors to fold upwards and out of the way. Rather than swinging open like conventional doors, the front panels fold in half and lift up, creating completely clear access to your wall storage.

Where It Fits

This system works in wall cabinets between 480mm and 1200mm high, and up to 1800mm wide. It's particularly useful for cabinets above worktops where you need frequent access, like those storing everyday crockery, glassware, or cooking ingredients.

How It Works

The door front is split into two panels that hinge together. When you lift the door, the bottom panel folds up against the top panel, and both sections travel upwards on telescopic arms. The door stays open at whatever height you leave it, supported by gas-filled lift mechanisms that counterbalance the weight.

Why It Matters

You can leave these cabinets open while cooking without doors getting in your way or blocking your movement. This is particularly valuable in smaller kitchens where every bit of space matters, or when you're working with hot pans and need clear paths around your kitchen.

Design Consideration

The bi-fold mechanism requires your cabinet to be at least 264mm deep internally. The system works well with both symmetrical and asymmetrical door designs, and you can combine different materials or colours on the two folding panels. However, you'll need to consider the visual impact of the mechanism when the doors are open, as the hardware remains visible.

This is Blum engineering, built around precision-manufactured lift mechanisms and telescopic arms. The system includes BLUMOTION soft-close technology, so doors close gently and quietly without slamming. The silk white finish coordinates with most contemporary kitchen hardware.

Options

You can specify this system with standard BLUMOTION operation, or upgrade to include SERVO-DRIVE electric opening. With SERVO-DRIVE, a light touch opens the door automatically, which is particularly useful for heavy door fronts or when your hands are full. The electric version requires a separate transformer.
