The AVENTOS HF top is Blum's bi-fold lift system for wall cabinets. When you open the door, it folds in half and lifts up and away from the cabinet opening, rather than swinging outward like a traditional hinged door.

Where It Fits

This system works in wall cabinets between 480mm and 1200mm high, and up to 1800mm wide. It's particularly useful for cabinets mounted above your worktop or cooking area, where a conventional door would swing into your workspace or block your view.

How It Works

The door splits horizontally and the top section lifts upward while the bottom section folds back against it. The entire assembly moves up and out of your way, held by telescopic arms. You get complete access to the cabinet contents without any door blocking your reach. The BLUMOTION mechanism means the door closes softly without slamming.

Why It Matters

You can leave these cabinets open while you cook without doors getting in your way or limiting your movement. This makes them particularly good for storing items you use frequently during food preparation. The full opening also means you can see and reach everything inside more easily than with traditional doors.

Design Consideration

The bi-fold mechanism works well when you need frequent access to cabinet contents, but the folding action does require some clearance above the cabinet. The door front can be made from various materials and you can even use asymmetrical designs, but the mechanism itself will be visible when the door is open.

Options

This dark grey version comes with BLUMOTION soft-close as standard. You can also specify it with SERVO-DRIVE, which adds electrical assistance to open the door with just a light touch. The SERVO-DRIVE option includes a five-year guarantee but requires a separate transformer.

Closing Guidance

Consider where you'll position these cabinets and how often you'll access them. The bi-fold lift works best when you want the cabinet contents readily available during cooking, but it may not be necessary for storage you access less frequently.
